Synopsis
This course provides an introduction to accounting and finance. It is aimed primarily at managers or employees who are not familiar with accounting and finance, but require some understanding on these subjects to enhance their job performances. The course provides the basic principles and underlying concepts and the ways in which accounting statements and financial information can be used to improve the quality of decision making. To reinforce the practical emphasis and learning, numerous illustrative extracts from company reports are given. Assessment materials such as questions, work exercises in either individual or group activities are used to enhance knowledge and understanding.

- Learn to become ‘streetwise’ in accounting and finance so as to be effective and successful in their managerial task.
